Samantha Adas, MS, RDN

Samantha Adas is a highly skilled Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with extensive experience in human nutrition, public health, and program management. She holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech, and completed a rigorous dietetic internship at the University of Maryland.

Samantha currently serves as a Scientific Program Analyst at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she plays a pivotal role in managing the Nutrition for Precision Health initiative, a $190 million research program. Her responsibilities include coordinating program activities, reviewing nutrition-related policies, and briefing Congressional staff on critical topics like ultra-processed foods.

Throughout her career, Samantha has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing nutrition science. Before her current position at NIH, she worked as a Scientific Program Analyst with Kelly Government Solutions, contributing to NIH's Office of Nutrition Research. In addition to her program management expertise, she has provided individualized nutrition counseling at the Washington Nutrition Group, focusing on chronic disease management and other complex health conditions. Her work is informed by evidence-based research, which she has presented at various professional conferences, showcasing her dedication to improving public health through informed nutrition practices.
