About Jamie Kennedy, PA

Jamie Kennedy is a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant with a strong background in outpatient Internal medicine. She holds a Doctor of Medical Science, a Master of Physician Assistant Studies, and a Master of Public Health from Shenandoah University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Immunology and Infectious Disease from Penn State University. In her past role at Virginia Medical Alliance, Jamie conducted comprehensive patient assessments, collaborated on treatment planning for diverse acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Her approach emphasized patient education, lifestyle modification, and preventative care, all rooted in evidence-based practice.

Jamie’s clinical proficiency is further demonstrated by her extensive expereince in family medicine, cardiology, OB/GYN, and internal medicine, where she cared for patients with complex comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes, mental health disorders, and cardiovascular conditions. She is trained in key procedures including EKG interpretation, wound care, and pelvic exams, and her work is informed by a strong foundation in public health. Her global health experience—spanning public health fieldwork in South Africa and medical brigade leadership in Ghana and Nicaragua—highlights her commitment to culturally competent and equitable care. Jamie brings a comprehensive, interdisciplinary perspective to her medical practice, with a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes across varied settings.
