Background and Medical Training

Dr. Connor earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, Florida. He went on to complete his Family Medicine Residency at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, New York, where he was recognized for his leadership skills and selected as Chief Resident during his final year.

Throughout his residency, Dr. Connor developed a strong foundation in outpatient family medicine, managing patients of all ages and a wide variety of conditions. His training emphasized preventive health, chronic disease management, and the holistic principles of osteopathic medicine—which focuses on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Connor believes that listening is the cornerstone of good medicine. Patients consistently describe him as approachable, compassionate, and thorough. He takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain diagnoses and treatments clearly, and partner with them in making decisions about their health.

His philosophy of care is built on three key principles:

  1. Prevention First – Helping patients stay healthy through proactive care.
  2. Whole-Person Approach – Treating the mind, body, and lifestyle factors that contribute to health.
  3. Partnership with Patients – Building long-term relationships that support trust and continuity of care.

  • Chronic Disease Management – Expertise in managing conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and asthma with a focus on long-term health and quality of life.
  • Osteopathic Manipulation – Hands-on techniques to relieve pain, improve mobility, and support the body’s natural healing process.
  • Women’s Health – Including Pap smears, pelvic exams, family planning, and preventive screenings for women of all ages.
  • Procedural Skills – Proficient in office-based procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, joint injections (shoulder, knee, hand), and minor excisions.
