Expert Urgent Care, Seven Days a Week

When you’re sick or hurt, you need a clinician who can evaluate quickly, treat correctly, and know when something needs more. Susane’s years in high-volume urgent care settings mean she has seen it before — and her doctoral-level training means she doesn’t cut corners.

She evaluates and treats concerns including:

  • Cough, cold, flu, and COVID-like symptoms
  • Sore throat, strep, sinus infections, and ear pain
  • Fever and infections
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Cuts, wounds, and minor injuries
  • Sprains, strains, and musculoskeletal pain
  • Rashes, skin infections, and allergic reactions
  • Nausea, vomiting, and stomach concerns
  • Minor burns and bites
  • Work and school illness needs, including notes and follow-up guidance

On-site diagnostic testing, including lab work and X-ray, means most visits are evaluated, diagnosed, and treated in a single stop — with clear guidance on follow-up and when to see your primary care provider.

DOT Physicals From a Certified Medical Examiner

Susane is a DOT-certified medical examiner, qualified to perform Department of Transportation physical exams for commercial drivers. For CDL holders and fleet employers across Fairfax County, that means a convenient, walk-in-friendly location for the exams that keep drivers certified and on the road — performed by an experienced clinician who understands both the federal requirements and the drivers’ time pressure.

Prima Urgent Care also offers employment physicals, school physicals, and sports physicals, making it a one-stop shop for the exams life requires.

Infusion Therapy Expertise You Won’t Find at Most Urgent Cares

Susane holds the CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion Therapy) credential — a specialty certification held by a small fraction of clinicians — earned through years as an infusion nurse specialist. In practice, that means exceptional skill with IVs, hydration, and medication administration: patients who are difficult sticks, dehydrated, or anxious about needles are in unusually capable hands.

Educated in Northern Virginia, Serving Northern Virginia

Susane’s entire nursing education happened within a few miles of the clinic where she now practices: Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, then three degrees at George Mason University in Fairfax, culminating in her Doctor of Nursing Practice. Her commitment to the community extends beyond the exam room — she has served as a community educational provider on hypertension and diabetes and volunteers at the Mason & Partner Clinic, which serves uninsured and underserved patients in the region.

She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Infusion Nursing Society.

A Whole-Person Approach — Even in Urgent Care

Urgent care visits are brief, but Susane’s case management and home health background taught her to see the whole patient. She takes the time to explain what’s wrong, what the treatment does, and what warning signs to watch for — and when a visit reveals something bigger, like elevated blood pressure or blood sugar, she makes sure patients understand it and know where to go next. Prima Urgent Care’s connection to Prima Medicine’s primary care practice makes that handoff seamless.
