Prima Medicine is Excited to Introduce Dr. Harneet Rikki Kohli to the Team

Here at Prima Medicine, we’re proud to announce the recruitment of Harneet Rikki Kohli, MD to our medical team. Dr. Kohli joins us as the second internal medicine specialist on staff at our two locations: Fairfax and South Riding, Virginia.

We’re beyond thrilled to have Dr. Kohli as part of our team. She’s an excellent internist, with a team-oriented and patient-friendly focus, and she’s also fluent in both Hindi and Punjabi. We know she’ll be an enormous asset to our practice and a resource for our patient family.

Dr. Kohli studied medicine and earned her MBBS at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, Karnataka, India. She completed her residency at Unity Hospital in Rochester, New York, serving her final six months there as Chief Resident.

Following the completion of her residency, Dr. Kohli spent 10 years in clinical practice. She has worked with Lifetime Health Medical Group, Patient First, and Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, utilizing her experience in and knowledge of both Internal Medicine and Urgent Care.

Dr. Kohli describes herself as committed, highly motivated, team-oriented, and compassionate. "When you combine those qualities with 10 years of clinical acumen paired with an outgoing and friendly personality, I have exactly what it takes to thrive in a successful practice," she explains.

We agree. Dr. Kohli has a strong background in her field, and she’s worked with patients across a wide variety of presentations, including those we see regularly in our practice. She’ll be seeing patients for urgent care, primary care, wellness visits, women’s health, and management of chronic conditions like arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, ulcers, and sleep disorders.

We look forward to introducing or patients to Dr. Kohli and having her here as part of our dedicated team for many years to come.
